Architecture is the culmination of vision and craft. Over many years of practice we’ve designed more than 50 built projects, each informed by rigorous design thinking and a commitment to lasting quality. What you see here are select projects from my independent practice, reflecting the design values and creativity we bring to every commission. Earlier work created with other firms is not shown here due to ownership rights, yet it remains part of the depth of knowledge, technical expertise, and design perspective we offer our clients today.

South Bethany Residence

Situated on a uniquely constrained site in South Bethany, this residence responds carefully to environmental regulations while maximizing both function and experience within a compact footprint. The design embraces the challenges of the lot, shaping a vertical composition that captures 180-degree ocean views and elevates the living spaces above the surrounding dune landscape.
The main deck projects outward, cantilevered over the dune to extend the living area toward the horizon. A small plunge pool, suspended within the deck, reinforces the home’s direct connection to water and sky. Layered indoor and outdoor spaces are organized to balance
openness with efficiency, resulting in a residence that feels expansive despite its modest footprint, precisely tuned to its coastal setting.

Rehoboth Beach Makeover

We reimagined an ordinary shell into a home with presence, proportion, and purpose.
The first phase work elevated the architecture and style of the house, and the indoor / outdoor connection and experience. We expanded the decks and porches, and improved the proportions of the roof lines, while adding details that now feel balanced and intentional.
The second phase will focus on interior architecture and finishes.

Designed with sweeping decks and layered porches, the architecture embraces the rhythm of the shoreline while creating sheltered outdoor spaces for gathering and retreat.
The main living areas – kitchen, dining, and great room, are elevated to frame expansive ocean views, while the primary suite occupies the top floor, offering privacy and a quiet vantage point above the dunes. A pool integrated into the deck extends the living experience outdoors, reinforcing the home’s connection to the water.

Fenwick Island Bay Residence

Located on the bay side of Fenwick Island, this residence draws from a clean, coastal vernacular—crisp white siding, generous glazing, and layered porches—interpreted through a refined, contemporary lens. Set within a high-hazard flood zone, the home is elevated and carefully detailed for resilience, with structure and materials selected to withstand the demands of its waterfront setting.
Water-facing decks extend the living spaces outward, overlooking the bay and capturing shifting light throughout the day. The primary living areas are positioned on the top floor to maximize views and breezes, creating an open, light-filled gathering space above. At ground level, a recreation room provides a direct connection to the dock, reinforcing the relationship between indoor living and life on the water. The result is a home that balances durability and elegance, designed to endure while remaining deeply connected to its surroundings.

Located one block from the ocean in Sussex Shores, this residence draws from a classic coastal shingle style, expressed through layered gables, crisp white trim, and a natural material palette. The composition balances traditional proportions with refined detailing, creating a home that feels both timeless and welcoming within its seaside neighborhood.
Designed as a multifamily summer retreat, the interior is organized to support gathering and flexibility, with shared living spaces that open easily to the outdoors. A rooftop deck offers elevated views and coastal breezes, extending the home’s living experience above the treetops.
In the backyard, a swimming pool anchors a private outdoor setting, complemented by a small garage thoughtfully converted into a pool house. The result is a relaxed yet carefully crafted retreat—designed for extended family, seasonal living, and even a pair of well- accommodated cats.

Contemporary Coastal Residence

Located one block from the ocean, this contemporary home is carefully composed to capture every available view between the neighboring houses along the street. Clean lines, expansive glazing, and a restrained material palette define the exterior, while layered decks extend outward to frame glimpses of the water and sky.
The interior is organized vertically, with the primary living spaces positioned on the top floor beneath vaulted ceilings to maximize light and openness. A sculptural stair anchors the home, accompanied by a continuous wall of custom windows that draws daylight deep into the interior and establishes a strong visual connection between levels. Designed to accommodate family and guests, the program includes multiple bedrooms, bunkrooms, a fitness room, and a rooftop deck.
The result is a residence that feels both open and intentional—shaped by its site and oriented toward the ocean beyond.
